C. Committee Reports:

Social: Loreen gave directions to the luncheon on June 6th at KD’s Eatery in Mondovi. She needs to know by noon on June 2nd if there are any additions/cancellations to the reservation for that day. Loreen thanked the servers for today.

Membership: Kathy had nothing to report.

Legislative: Joan shared that things have calmed down at the Capital in Madison and encouraged members to continue to check the WREA website and respond to any new legislative alerts. She drew attention to the recent WRS newsletter, mentioning the increased number of teachers retiring, as well as the article that reassured us that our interests are being well protected. Joan reminded us to encourage all new retirees to get in touch with the WREA.

Past President: Cathy had nothing to share.

The information came from the Department on Aging, free materials available in grocery stores, and the Consumer Action Handbook.
